The Port of Baltimore was founded in 1729. This is a tale of three men who will never meet: Enoch Pratt, James Lombard and Tom Armstrong. This is Between Pratt and Lombard.

It's Dull In My Town Since My Playmate Left

The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA...

...this picture is just too expected

I'm not quite sure how to say this without it conveying the wrong idea. OK: I wish I liked Ed Burns. There, I've said it. I'm not sure why I'd like to enjoy his works, but I do. More than that, I try to watch them and try to like them and I fail miserably. This makes me sad.

The Pacific Northwest

Annie from the movie Sleepless in Seattle...

...she was from Baltimore

It's tricky to backtrack and fill in the missed weeks of posting to a blog. On the upside, in the meantime I've had two papers accepted for publication. One on a language learning algorithm I developed with Tim and Leo will be presented at ICGI in Tokyo. Hampton National Historic Site

Where to spend the holiday this year...

The sign in the picture above states "Captain Charles Ridgely (1733-1790)".

Summer Shows

Rescue Me from Worcester native Denis Leary...

...Weeds with South Carolina native Mary-Louise Parker

Clever ideas with little effort and relying on the internet infrastructure results in decent profits over the short term. One Thousand Paintings sells 12"x12" paintings of numbers for varying cost and 2000 Bricks sells engravings on bricks for one man's backyard. What should I do and get ~3000 people to buy into?

Mother's Day is here and I had a challenging time finding the perfect gift...

...until I saw that Play-Doh turned 50 and commissioned some perfume

I'm often slow on the uptake when it comes to internet happenings. However, it does let me absorb a huge amount of interestingness at once. A good example is the work of Ze Frank. He now publishes a daily videoblog, The Show, where he has advocated for making an Earth Sandwich
